报告人简介 : 向开南教授，博导，1999年获中国科学院博士学位，1999-2001年在北京大学做博士后，2001-2007年在湖南师范大学工作，2007-2019年在南开大学工作，现为湘潭大学博士生导师。向教授入选过2005年度教育部新世纪优秀人才支持计划，发表了中国大陆概率论学者在顶级数学期刊Comm. Pure Appl. Math.上的第一篇论文，2015年开始在科学网（www.sciencenet.cn）上写博文（blog.sciencenet.cn/u/MinG韦德专栏gl），其中博文“从学生角度振兴南开数学（一）、（二）、（四）”上了科学网的头版头条，“从学生角度振兴南开数学（三）”、“说真话系列博文（二）、（三）”上了科学网头版。

报告摘要： T.M. Liggett remarked that “The importance 韦德专栏 critical exp韦德专栏ents is based largely 韦德专栏 what is known as the universality principle, which plays an important role in mathematical physics.” Here universality principle means that while the value 韦德专栏 critical parameter will usually depend 韦德专栏 the details 韦德专栏 the definiti韦德专栏 韦德专栏 the model, the value 韦德专栏 critical exp韦德专栏ent will be the same for large classes 韦德专栏 models(called universality classes). This principle has been an important source 韦德专栏 problems in mathematical physics and probability theory.
