报告人简介: Dr. 天富平台注册开户链接 Zhang is a Pr天富平台注册开户链接essor in 天富平台注册开户链接 Department 天富平台注册开户链接 Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering at 天富平台注册开户链接 Missouri University 天富平台注册开户链接 S&T. He received his Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University. Dr. Zhang has been teaching and conducting research in 天富平台注册开户链接 field 天富平台注册开户链接 geotechnical engineering since 1992. His studies focus on development 天富平台注册开户链接 advanced laboratory techniques to rapidly characterize geomaterials, constitutive modeling coupled hydro-mechanical behavior 天富平台注册开户链接 unsaturated soils, numerical modeling 天富平台注册开户链接 climate-soil-structure interaction, slope stability analysis, soil stabilization and ground improvement, and frozen ground engineering. Dr. Zhang is currently Chair 天富平台注册开户链接 ASCE Geo Institute Shallow Foundation Committee, Voting Member 天富平台注册开户链接 TC106 Unsaturated Soils within 天富平台注册开户链接 International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (one 天富平台注册开户链接 two Voting Members in North America), Associate Editor for ASCE Journal 天富平台注册开户链接 Cold Region Engineering, and editorial board member 天富平台注册开户链接 Canadian Geotechnical Journal. He also serves as 天富平台注册开户链接 committee member 天富平台注册开户链接 several nationwide technical committees. He received 天富平台注册开户链接 2016 International Innovation Award in Unsaturated Soil Mechanics from TC106 Committee on Unsaturated Soils within 天富平台注册开户链接 ISSMGE.

报告摘要: The Barcelona Basic Model (天富平台注册开户链接) developed by Alonso et al. (1990) is 天富平台注册开户链接 first and 天富平台注册开户链接 most widely used elasto-plastic model for unsaturated soils. The 天富平台注册开户链接 successfully explained many key features 天富平台注册开户链接 unsaturated soils and received extensive acceptance. However, 天富平台注册开户链接re is lack 天富平台注册开户链接 a well-established method for selecting parameter values for 天富平台注册开户链接 天富平台注册开户链接 from laboratory tests, although a variety 天富平台注册开户链接 methods have been recently developed for calibrating model parameters for 天富平台注册开户链接 天富平台注册开户链接. Concerns still exist on 天富平台注册开户链接 correctness and robustness 天富平台注册开户链接 such parameter value selection procedures. In this presentation, a novel approach was proposed to calibrate 天富平台注册开户链接 parameter values for 天富平台注册开户链接 天富平台注册开户链接, which takes advantage 天富平台注册开户链接 天富平台注册开户链接 close-form solution 天富平台注册开户链接 天富平台注册开户链接 天富平台注册开户链接, based upon a newly proposed 天富平台注册开户链接 天富平台注册开户链接 天富平台注册开户链接 天富平台注册开户链接 to study 天富平台注册开户链接 unsaturated soils. The same experimental data, used in 天富平台注册开户链接 MUSE benchmark exercise, were reanalyzed using 天富平台注册开户链接 proposed approach, and 天富平台注册开户链接 results were compared with those in 天富平台注册开户链接 MUSE benchmark exercise from which 天富平台注册开户链接 simplicity, effectiveness, and robustness 天富平台注册开户链接 天富平台注册开户链接 proposed method were evaluated.
